The GigaKOM team had the pleasure of attending Finance Fest at the University of San Diego—and what a great day it was!

Our crew—Andrej Komatina, Andrew Ross, and intern Roman Di Napoli—spent the afternoon in USD’s Nexus Theatre, where companies set up tables to chat with students about who we are and what we do. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with future finance professionals, share a bit of our story, and hear about what students are looking for in their next steps.

Andrej and Andrew had some truly spirited, engaging conversations with students, diving into what life at GigaKOM looks like, the kinds of projects we work on, and what we value in our team. Roman, who’s currently going through the internship experience himself, gave students a firsthand look at what it’s like to be part of our team—from real-world projects to professional growth and mentorship.

It was clear from the energy in the room that students were excited to learn more—and many were exploring internships for the summer. We really enjoyed talking with them, learning about their interests, and seeing where there might be a fit. There was a lot of genuine curiosity about our work, and we’re grateful for all the thoughtful questions and great conversations.

A big shoutout to the Student Finance Association (SFA) for organizing such a smooth and well-run event. They helped us get set up, made us feel welcome, and truly brought the whole thing together. We appreciate all the effort that went into making the day a success.

And of course, thank you to all the students who stopped by to chat with us—it was a real pleasure meeting you. We’re always looking to connect with motivated, curious people who are excited to grow. If that sounds like you, we hope to stay in touch!

Until next time, USD!
